How to publish a draft document

When documents are imported into the Documents register, they are imported as drafts. The next step is to publish them.

Note:  The 'Draft documents' tab is only available as part of the Document import service provided by Logiqc.  Click here to learn more

There are two options available for publishing draft documents:

  1. Use Quick publish to approve and publish.
  2. Submit documents to the Manage stage of the workflow.
Once all documents in the Draft tab have been progressed, the Draft tab will no longer appear.

Quick publish

Note:  You must be the Document owner to Quick publish a document.

  1. Open the draft document
  2. Complete the details form (Learn more about how to complete the details form)
  3. Click Quick publish

Submit the document to the Manage stage

  1. Open the draft document
  2. Complete the details form (Learn more about how to complete the details form)
  3. Select Submit.  This will generate a Manage Document task for the assigned Document manager.

Tip:  Using Quick publish approves and publishes documents immediately, without progressing them through the workflow. This is useful when publishing large volumes of documents, as it prevents the creation of hundreds of 'Manage Document' tasks. After publishing, you can use Bulk edit to reassign and recode as required.
