January - February 2022: Editable permission labels, increased security, integrated risk...

Features and updates released to LogiqcQMS in January 2022

Major new feature: Editable user and viewing permission labels 307477396

The LogiqcQMS platform provides 10 user permission levels (eg Staff, Approval Officer, Managers, Quality Manager etc) and six viewing permission groups (eg All users, CEO, QM, and assigned approval officer etc).

While these settings allow useful and granular control over permission settings, the inability to define the names of these levels and groups in a way that's unique and meaningful to your organisation creates a barrier between your users and your QMS.

This new feature allows you to define the names of user permission levels and viewing permission groups which will help you to better tailor the platform to your organisation so it's easier to use.

Here are some examples of what you can now achieve:

Major new feature: Free-text risk name 195001344

Adding risks to the LogiqcQMS platform has previously required the system administrator to add the risk name first before it could be selected from the menu.

This new feature allows users with the relevant permissions to add a new risk to the system from scratch. No admin required. Once the new risk is saved LogiqcQMS will automatically link it to the selected category and update the menu in the background - job done!

Major new feature: Improved password security 2150887459

Strong passwords are your first line of defence against cybercriminals. The weaker
the password, the easier it is for a hacker to crack and access your information. So, to help you protect your data we have strengthened the platform's requirements for passwords.

The next time you update your password you will notice increased security requirements and a helpful traffic light progress bar that goes green when your password is compliant.

While you don't have to do anything right away, we recommend updating your password sooner rather than later to take advantage of this increased security measure.  Click on this article to learn how to reset your password:  Changing your password

Risk based thinking integrated with contract management 1501231427

Risk-based thinking encourages organisations to evaluate risk when undertaking processes and establishing controls and improvements in a quality management system. It's a concept that was introduced in the 2015 update of the ISO 9001 quality management standard.

The new Related Risk component appears in the Contract register on the Details, Manage and Approve forms and allows users to make comments and link to known risks relevant to the contract.

Auto password re-set based on email address 2090469552

If you've used our auto password reset feature you may have hit a wall because you couldn't remember your username. Well, now we've improved your chances of success in getting instant password resets. You can now enter your email address instead of your user name and if it's a match with the address used in your account a re-set email will be sent to that same address and you're good to go anytime 24/7. Additional reset time out security has also been added.
