Disposing an asset

Assets cannot be deleted from the QMS, however they can be flagged as disposed assets using the Dispose asset function.

Note:  You must have permission level of Approving officer and above to dispose an asset.

  1. Navigate to Governance and select Assets
  2. Find the asset via the filters or keyword search
  3. Open the asset by clicking on the name and scroll to the bottom of the details form.
  4. Click on Dispose
  5. Add your reasons for disposing the asset.  (To cancel, click on the cancel button)
  6. Click Dispose and the asset will be moved to the Disposed assets tab in the Assets register.

The System event history will record disposal action and comment.
