Why did I get a task to close an audit ?
The audit has been completed and has been automatically assigned to you because you are the Approval officer.
What do I need to do?
Review the Action history and Identified improvements to review what's been done to date. Then click Approve and close or Assign another task if further action is needed. Learn how to do this in the Task management section below.

This component displays the two options you have at the 'close' stage of the workflow.
Task options
Assign another task
Choose this option if further action is required. There are reasons why you may choose this option. For example, if the required steps to manage the issue have not been taken or when relevant records have not been attached.
- Task instructions - describe what needs to be done to respond to the issue.
- Assign to - select the user responsible for carrying out the task. Select Assign to me to assign the task to yourself.
- Task due date - select the date the task is to be completed by.
Approve and close
Choose this option if no further action is required. You can tick Additional comments to add additional comments such as the the grounds for approving the audit or any final observations.
Caution: Once an audit has been closed, details relating to what action has been taken and any other comments cannot be edited.
Identified issues and improvements
Click Add to list corrective actions that should be taken as a result of the event. Corrective actions should be coded as a 'non-conformance' in the Improvement type field.
When you submit the form, the corrective actions and improvements created here will automatically appear in the Improvements register and be assigned to the relevant person to be managed.

This component enables you to attach records relating to the audit such as the audit report. Only users with permissions to see the item will be able to see attached records.
Click Attach to add a record.
Record name
When naming the record ensure the description is meaningful. For example, 'Patient record audit report - April 2022'.
File or Link
Click on Choose file and navigate to the record on your computer. If you have links enabled, toggle to change the control to add a URL to the record. The URL must be a in a web format (https://) or Microsoft Sharepoint format (https://<company>.sharepoint.com/...)

The green Submit button will save the form and progress the item to the next stage of the workflow unless you chose Make a progress note in which case the task will remain with you.
Select Create a related item if you want to create a separate linked item on another register when you save the form. A link between the two items will be displayed in each item's System event history.

Click the '+' control on the right to expand the line item to see more information.
