About document management

The LogiqcQMS Documents register is a central library for key documents approved for use in the organisation such as policies, procedures, templates and forms.

Policies and procedures are central to smooth and consistent running of your organisation and such documents must be ‘controlled’ to ensure staff have access to the most current and approved versions.

Clause 7.5 of the ISO 9001 Quality Management standard refers to documented information and specifies that quality management systems must ensure:

  • Documented information required by the organisation for the effectiveness of operations is appropriately controlled.
  • Controlled documents have appropriate identification and description.
  • Regular review and approval of the document for suitability and adequacy.
  • Availability where and when it is needed
  • Adequate protection from loss or improper use
  • Appropriate control of changes (eg. version control), retention and disposition.
